I have a '12 MDX that was running "funny" about a year ago. It "hung" after cresting a hill and coasting on the downgrade (revving to about 3500) until I either hit the brake or the accelerator. It also had a tendency to "pop" into the next higher gear when accelerating from a stop. Finally, it "popped" into gear when accelerating at a high speed on interstate when passing another vehicle, etc.

I took it to the dealership because it was still under warranty and they ran diagnostics and had Acura on the line, etc. I was there for over four hours. They couldn't really determine what was wrong, but they speculated it was the torque converter. They replaced it free of charge and things seemed better for a bit, but most of the same symptoms have returned.

I recently went to have the oil changed, cabin air filter replaced, etc., at a local shop. I described the symptoms to them and they speculated that I might actually have a fuel injector problem.

Any thoughts form the group?
