I had a salesman give me an estimate on a furnace/air conditioner and he said his dad just got an 05 MDX. I'll make his dad joining a condition of the sale!!. It would be nice to get our numbers up but not doing bad for the two state area.

What's a good price for an Acura tow kit? The place where I bought mine quoted $1250 + tax installed. I do not wish to do it myself, so would appreciate any other experiences from you'all. I also am not interested in a non-Acura device.

I got mine installed at my Acura dealer in Oregon (Ashland) when I first purchased my 2002 MDX (Sept., 2002). The cost was $ 700, which included installation (of entire tow kit: hitch, coolers, etc.).
That was supposedly their in-house cost, where only the shop-rate price (their profit) was added to their invoice cost of the tow kit.

I would call a few other Acura dealers on the phone and ask what their cost is to compare w/ your Acura dealer.

I know there are more of you out there because I see you all over the streets of Portland.Mine comes next week and I am sure that I will need some protection for the front hood too. Any suggestions? Also interested in wheels and tires from someone around Ptown

We got the "clear bra", a thin invisible file that fits over the entire front end and anything else that gets direct wind. It works very well, keeping rocks and bugs off the paint. You can't tell its there unless you get up close. I think it cost about $700, dealer installed, with a 5 or 10 year warranty - well beyond where I intend to keep the car. I would get it again on my next vehicle.

What's up PacNW?! New forum member here from a SW Portland suburb. Bought an '01 MDX two years ago and couldn't be more pleased. I'm only the second owner and the mileage is only 131k. Plan to drive it a long time. I owned a few Toyota trucks in the past, but have a family now (two young kids). This has been a great compromise.
