0-60 in 7.2 for the 340HP V8 S is not much faster than the MDX at 7.6. Yet, it could be $20,000 more?

That thing is HIDEOUS! I mean we're talking PT Cruiser, Audi TT, Pontiac Aztec ugly! I was actually looking forward to the release of the Cayenne because I thought it might be another option for me when it becomes SUV time. Not any more...

What in the HELL IS THAT????

Oh puhlease....puhlease. GIVE IT UP. an SUV off of a 911 frame??? HAHAHAHAH

PORSCHE....an absolute disgrace! At least BMW makes their X-5 looking like an an SUV.

Am speechless....I have now LOST ALL respect for Porsche.

What car?

Hey, I'm not sure about the car, but the blonde is not bad.....

Truly, this thing is butt ugly, but the performance numbers are not too shabby. I don't think MDX's are going to lose many sales to this thing. Looks more like a Hyundai than a Porsche.

For a company that usually puts some of the best looking (and timeless) cars on the road, this is a real disappointment IMO.

This IS butt ugly... I mean.. look at the back of this car... I think the only pros of this car is the engine and the Xenon lights... what else? Oh, might be the logo...

Agree, that it looks odd, especially from the front - I guess they wanted some Porsche styling cues that don't appear to have carried over very well to the SUV. Don't think it look's too bad from the rear, and better without the black rocker panels - the tires are huge - definitely looks like a pavement only SUV (although it probably has some sort of adjustable suspension so it can venture "offroad"). Looks more like a tall wagon.

It might actually look better in person than in photo's. I think the test of a good design is if it grows on you (as opposed to the Aztek which still leaves me shaking my head). Time will tell....

...

MY FRIEND WAS DOING SOME GRAPHIC STUFF FOR THEM..

AND SHE SHOWED ME DIFFERNT PIX THEN THESE..

THE PIX I SAW WAS MUCH BETTER DESIGNED..

AND NOT JUST A LARGER VERSION OF 911..

I THOUGHT THEY WOULD COME OUT WITH SOMETHING

REALLY COOL.. BUT.. SIGH..

NOW I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT'S JUST ANOTHER STEP OF THEIR
CONCEPTING..

yuck! What the hell is that thing? the turbo actually looks worse than the regular model(from the front). it looks like a guppy with its mouth open. and what's up with the Buick style taillamps. I thought monochromatic tail lamps were out 5 years ago.

Officially I thought the best the MDX could do 0-60 was 8.1 sec. By the way the Porsche numbers were given as 0-62. There is also a high end version which will do 0-62 in 5.6 seconds. Same class as the ML55 and the highend X5. (probably costs as much).

Apparently this vehicle has been designed with a very competant off-road system with all wheel drive and a nice locking differential system. It is impressive that it can accelerate like this and maintain good off-road ability given the extra HP demands that an off-roading drive train demands. Ground clearance does not look that good however.
