hello all,
I have a 2012 mdx with standard tire size 255-55r18. The rims are 5x120 et45

I was recently gifted a good set of 245-50r20 winters.
I found a used set of rims 9” width with et35 offset.
Now from what I’ve read they might fit the rims and my mdx. But since they’re used I can’t buy them and try them out. If they’d not fit I’m screwed.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Apart from the obvious of selling these and getting new ones.
Thanks,
John

On 9" rim I would not go anything lower than 255. But yes they will fit, just make sure center bore size is big enough.

FYI there will be 16mm poke compared to OEM

if there is lots of soft snow, go with the narrow tire. If it's hard packed, then wider is better. With a 9" rim makes me think it was for a BMW which has same bolt pattern different offsets. The wheels may stick out a bit more than factory wheels.

thanks guys, they are from a bmw. Didn’t buy them yet. Haven’t decided not sure if they will fit. The offset is slightly more and I won’t see how much they stick out until they’re installed. Plus, does the narrower tire make it more susceptible to rim damage? Probably !
