Just came back from a 5 day trip to Vegas. After extensive walking back and forth thru the strip at different times of the day, I saw not a single MDX! That was really strange. Any members from Las Vegas around here? Anyways, the weather was perfect and I had a great time. Very entertaining town.

MDX in Las Vegas

The reason why you seldom see an Acura MDX in Las Vegas is that the closest Acura Dealer is like 200 miles away.

As for the residents in Vegas....Am sure there is one driving around the suburbia there but...i doubt it if you will see on in the five days that you are there.

Not true.

Falconis Acura on Sahara. I bought my first Acura there back in 1994.

People don't realize that Vegas is a normall city outside of the "strip".

I no longer reside there but I almost went back to buy my MDX as they gave me a great price when I called them.

Later.

BTW I'm off to Vegas for a visit later this week. I'll let you know how many I see.

LAS VEGAS MDX SIGHTINGS

Yes there is a Vegas Acura dealer. They dont give the best deals on an MDX but they are there on Sahara Blvd. The only Acura dealer in Nevada.

In order for me to have a test drive the MDX before I bought, I had to fly down to Las Vegas to test drive an MDX. Also, if offered an MSRP price without ADM I would have purchased from them. However, Falconi's wanted an extra $1000 ADM and THEY pick all the accessories that they want on the MDX with higher than normal prices.

So we bought from Niello in Sacramento, CA which is about 200 miles closer to Carson City. I paid MSRP and got to pick and choose just the accessories I wanted.

Note that in little Carson City, you can see MDX sightings daily here. Why?? I guess we have more NONSMOKERS here than in the rest of the state. NS have more money to buy MDX's. Factoid: Nevada has more smokers per capita than all other states in the USA.

That Acura Dealer is STILL ON SAHARA? Hmmm..I thought it closed its doors. The reason why I said there isnt any is because the Acura web-site did not list any in Vegas. Oh well

Actually the Acura web site does list Falconis as well as a link to their web site.

I think the reason they offered me a deal was I know everyone there and my family had bought 5 Acuras from them.

Belive it or not I got my MDX at $1000 less than MSRP and accessories at cost in lovely Texas (lots of sarcasm here on the lovely part).

Falconi's Acura is still open for business here in Las Vegas. I believe they're building a brand new lot farther west on Sahara.

I got my MDX March 2001 and for the longest time I didn't see many others driving around town. Now I see them all the time.

Vegas flooded with X's

On the contrary. I returned from a stay at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas yesterday. I was shocked to see that there were three MDX's just on one floor of the parking garage! Black, White, and Marroon. (however, I recall that they all had California plates).

I did not, however, see any for rent along with the Boxsters, Ferrari's, Vipers, Vettes, etc. I guess they just aren't sexy enough for a little high roller splurging

:p

Growing in Vegas

As already noted by all, we have a dealer in Vegas, Falconi's, and they are building a new facility that is farther west that the current one (which is on the crummy side and in need of replacement).

As for no Nevada MDX sightings on the Strip, the Las Vegas residents typically don't venture on the Strip on the weekends since it is cluttered with all of those Cali folks.

In the burbs (Green Valley, Seven Hills, Anthem, Summerlin, etc.), you are starting to see more and more, but still not a lot.

I've had mine since March 2001 and I still see more X5's than MDX's.
