I sure appreciate all the emails and support. I transferred to our Mitsubishi dealership, same company. I just wanted to get back in Vancouver, it's closer to home. I'll sure miss the Acura product I believe it is the best product for the money out there, especially our MDX. Our Mitsubishi dealership is at the Vancouver Auto Mall where I also have Honda, Volkswagon, Lincoln, Mercury, Hummer, Subaru, Jeep, and a few others stores in Vancouver. I also have about 2600 used cars at any given time in one area. I just think I'll get to see a few more people over here. I'll still be hanging around the org site, it is without a doubt the best. Best wishes to all you MDX'ers you have the best product out there.

Sorry you're leaving the fold

Roger,
You were the voice of sales sanity in the forum that will be sorely missed. Mitsu dealer now? Monteros versus MDXs, that will be a let down but if Eclipses still have AWD you have a good one there. I had an Eagle Talon which was made in the same Diamond-Star plant here in lovely Illinois and it was a great car. Try to move to Subarus which are worthy alternatives to MDXs or maybe try for the Honda dealership with Honda Pilots which will be cousins to MDXs. Good luck with your new assignment.
Gator Greg and Womack. Oh no, we are directionless as a group. Who will fill this void?
Roger,

I am happy for you that you are moving closer to home. However, I have to tell you, Mitsubishi has on OK product, but a horrible company to back it up. I would NEVER EVER buy a Mitsubishi product. Those guys are just a bunch of thieves.

I leased a Montero Sport from them in 1999. It was a decent car. Everytime I sent payments, they fined me for late payment. I just couldn't understand why my payments would reach them so late (15 days from SFO- LAX). I once sent the check thru certified return mail and it was still late :) I threatend to sue them for it as I had a confirmation that they received the payment in time. I had to go through a lot of trouble to get this issue straightened. Based on this experience, I will never buy any Mitsubishi product.

I hope you will bring some sanity to these A&* H^%#S at Mitsubishi.
Truly a sad week

Roger,

You will be sorely missed. You provided a ton of value to this forum, and many users got much better deals because of your information sharing.

Please don't forget about us over here. Congratulations on your move, and best of luck to you with everything!
I think Mitsubishi makes great cars. I had a 92 3000GT that still drives like new, that has yet to have any major problem. My father has a 96 montero that also drives excellent. I guess we lucked out.
(tears)

Roger: I too am sad to see you go. Your willingness to share the arcane information like the dealer's allocation process, responses to TSBs and other nuggets of wisdom really helped me personally, and I'm sure lots of other folks in the ORG.

I wish you well in Mitsubishi-land. My wife once had a Starion (remember those?) which she dearly loved. And FWIW, I keep hoping that Mitsubishi will adopt the Saab marketing strategy of pointing out that since they manufacture fighter jets, their cars must be great (or fast, or well-armed, or loud, or...)
