2.4l 4cyl engine is fast enough for the speed limits and road conditions in Australia (Of course there are larger cars there). I had a HR-V (Civic engine), which was smaller than CR-V when I was in Melbourne - took some long trips - max I could do safely on those roads was 120KM.
Took it for a cool ride on the Great Ocean Drive - handled great!
All said and done, why even bother talking about the new CR-V 2.4l, 4cyl engine as a match to the 'X.
BTW, a buddy asked me the classic RX-300 Vs MDX question - I told him RX is coach class, MDX is business class - more room - I really feel like it!!
