Does anyone know where I can download a PDF version of the Acura Navigation system manual? I would love to go through it while I wait for my Deep Mahogany Pearl to show up.

For those in my situation, I found the MDX manual on http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com site. Sorta helps to know how the features work while waiting for the car arrives.

on-line demo of Alpine NVE-N851A

MDXwalker,

The closest thing I have been able to find is an on-line Flash demo of the Alpine NVE-N851A, which evidently is the navigation system used by Acura (or a close relative). It doesn't go into much detail, but gives you an example of how some of the features work.

You can find this demo at: http://www.alpine1.com/html/inside.html.

MDXwalker,

Don't worry. When you got your car, your salesman is supposed to fully demonstrate the system. It will take about 15 minutes. The system is very intuitive and easy to use. I used it from the very first minute before leaving the dealer lot. After using it for 2 weeks, I went back to the manual and found that there is not much things in there whihc I have not already found while using the system. It is all menu and touch driven. They have the joystick but I do not bother to use since the menu and touch feature is so great and self-evident.

If you like an early headstart, go to your dealer and ask for a demo. You will enjoy it. I cannot go without it now, even in my own town. It like having an assistant in the background to help remind you and adjust the course if you strayed from your intended course. A full yellow/white pages are also in the data base.

Good lucks to your soon to delivered MDX.
