hey guys-

Mine is #1810, so we are cousins!

I recall someone on the forum indicating that the front of the hood was not flat with the front of the car. It appears that I too have that problem, IF it is a problem. What about you?

Thanks so much

RedMdxMemphis and GCK -- thanks so much for posting pictures. As always, it really helps those of us waiting to see the color from multiple vantage points and lights.

RedMdxMemphis -- are you considering any other options?

Thanks again...

The hood overhangs the two "pillars" near the grill by about 1/8" or so. Normal.

Glad to do it. I feel I was "in the dark" when I was waiting. The color red was a bit of a surprise because I had a thought that I was going to dealer to change back to gold before the order date. However, when I went back to the dealer, guess what, they have submitted the orders. My BMW and Camry are already silver and I don't want ebony inside this time. Red was my choice (and happen to be ligher color interier); gold was the family majority (counting kids'.) In my neighborhood, gold and sliver MDXes are already running around. Anyway, I have got the first Red Rock in this area (and the city too) ;)

I am pretty much done with the Acura car accessory I wanted .. all the wood stuff, tow hitch ( these are optoins I could have done it myself), mud guard and wheel lock. My wife does not like car body stuff. Later maybe adding the cargo liner but I don't think that need any "install." At this time, I am trying to decide a 4-bike rack to go with the hitch and later for a lugguage case on the roof.

Got the same issue

Funny you should mention it, mine offset is a lil different, dr. side perfect, pass side off by 3/8-1/2" Looks like is adjustable but not very noticable, especially when I get the front deflector on, but something to have the dealer adjust next time i'm in.

I have the same on my car. Didn't notice it until I saw the post - but looks ok to me. :)

Me too. It looks like within tolerance range. From quality control prospective it is less than 100 % perfect but it is not noticeable unless you are a pro in checking this thing. If one wants to find this type of thing, he probably can find some somewhere under the hood. It would not be good if the hood is uneven, though.

RedMDXin Memphis....man, the rear picture

is really beautiful. Hey, what about a tan or white pinstripe down both sides...I think would look cool. I had tan stripes put on my D E Pearl and they look great.

Bad looking ride...I love the RED!!!!!

I have not decided if I need to add anything.. on the look itself, after a while I decided "less is more" as Honda and Acura have made it elegantly beautiful. ;) The only thinking is to add a full size spare tire....

Congrats!!!

Hey RedMDXMemphis love the color...it looks sweet! I am sure once you get all the other accessories installed it will look even better. I know what your talking about in reference to the color changing as the sun sets....I think that is cool when it happens....almost as if you can fall in love with the X at every color change....:D

Take care of X and best wishes.

Side Molding in Red Rock Color

Does anybody have pictures on the side molding install with matching Red Rock color? I have begun to think about getting that on my RR.

I am still thinking about the side molding color. Anybody ever install a different side molding color on the Red Rock?

Installing a Silver color side molding to a Red Rock seems to be a sharp combination. I don't know if I am getting to daring?

Also, does the custom molding color fade easily or lose its color when it get a dent?

Hitting 7500 Miles

After six months, I hit 7500 miles today. I am very happy with my Acura MDX purchase. The MDX runs as smoothly as silk, accelerates like jet, and goes in bad weather like a tank.

With increasing MDX apprearance in my neiborhood, I only saw another Red Rock once. The MDX is still rare and it is everything a wonderful Sports - Utility - Vehicle you read on this forum.
