I am getting awful gas mileage on my 2011 MDX. This is the third MDX I've owned, the other two; a 2004 MDX, and a 2009 MDX got, on average 17-19 MPG, I am getting 12-13 MPG with my 2011 model and have been since I purchased it about 6 months ago.
I took it to the Acura Dealer last week, they ran diagnostics, checked the tire pressure, and air filter, it hasn't help at all! I know this isn't normal given the fact that I am driving with the same habits, under the same conditions, and on the same roads as my previous models. I can typically get 17-18 MPG when I flip the transmission into "manual" and change gears myself. There's a reason I don't have a manual transmission however, I don't want to have to manually shift for the rest of the life of this car.
I've looked through the threads on here and haven't seen anything regarding this issue, the dealer apparently has no clue either. Does anyone know what's going on? If not, does anyone know what route I can take to possibly receive some guidence from Acura?
Thanks!!
