mpg during my first 150 miles

I just got my gc tour/navi mdx. I'm concerned about the mileage I have been getting. I've primarily been driving in-city but I'm getting just 13 mpg accrording to the trip computer. The dealer mentioned that the engine takes a while (~500 miles) before your performance improves. Is this true? Any personal experiences.

Also, do you know if you can set up the mdx to auto-lock all doors when you start driving?

Hmmmmmmmm.......?!

I've only filled my tank twice so far, and my mpg have only been around 14 or so.

NOW...I'm concerned.

I only have city driven miles so far. NO HIGHWAY.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.................
Scratch in the door - IT GETS BETTER !!!

Acura4Life,
I have a question for you that doesn't belong to this discussion, I remember you talked about this in other thread. You had your dealer scratch the car and he was supposed to repaint it. Did he just buff it somehow or the whole door was repainted? How big was the scratch? Some one scratch my car with a key and I am just wondering if it would be possible to just fix it instead of repainting the whole door.
Thanks for help.
Wait until you hear this friggin' story.
I took my MDX to the dealer to ONLY have the Rear Tailgate Deflector installed and they scratched my driver's side door. Mind you I never seen the scratch, but was told that it was deep enough to fit your finger nail in !!

Anyway, service informs me that they will fix it but they have to send it to a body shop to have the whole door re-painted. Oh...it gets better....keep in mind I haven't had my MDX for over a week now !! :(:(:(

Now the service department tells me that when they took the door off to be painted they LOST a clip that is needed to put the door back on !! WHAT ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Here I am STILL WAITING.
:(

Needless to say I will not be going back to the service department there anymore.

I am very disappointed. I have only driven my baby for about a week...on top of the world and now this......

Very sad. :(:(:(
Can't wait to get her back.
I have Razo Premium white Headlight bulbs & mud flaps to install upon her safe arrival home.

Finally !!!

Just got the call from the dealer, my baby is ready to be picked up....after all of this mess.....there will be a complete visual inspection of the door, by me, including a flashlight !

LOL !

She better look good when I go get her today RIGHT after work.

:D

I'll keep you all posted of the experience with the service.
I drive in VERY slow & tight stop and go traffic going to work and coming home is the same deal.

About 10mpg.

THAT SUCKS BIG TIME !!
:(:confused::(

I haven't really opened this puppy up yet, either....
I know if I were COOKIN' on the way to work it would be a different story.

I do like 15 miles an hour - both ways - everyday. NOT GOOD.
Thank God I'm riding in style & luxary though..........
:D
