A little background first. I owned a Lexus RX300 (gold) for about 3 years before I traded it in for my MDX. When looking for a new vehicle, I test drove the BMW X5, the Mercedes, and the MDX.
One thing that I loved about my Lexus was that it drove like a car (well, it virtually was anyways). I like the 60/40 split in the back and its handling in the snow. When surveying new vehicles, these were my qualifications.
Well the first time I looked at the MDX I immediately fell in love with it. The rides were very comparable, the MDX had more room and the MDX just had a little more style on the interior than the Lexus. Trust me, it wasn't an easy decision to make until I gave the MDX a good test drive over bumps and also on the highway. Over the bumps, the ride was smooth and quiet. On the highway, I had it up to about 80 and it was as if I was going 55 (quiet, no engine/wind noise, no shakes). That was it, sold!
I've had my MDX for about a month now. Where I live, we've had everything from 60 degree days to snow/sleet/ice and the truck has handled itself beyond expectations. If there's anything more you'd like to know, let me know and I'd be glad to answer it for you.
