I ordered from Truck Stuff USA around middle of Feb. Early March, I got an update that Manik told them they were waiting for parts from Europe, and that it would be another 8 weeks or more before the order is shipped. Yikes!! I'm waiting though, because I like the polished side steps.

Has anyone seen either the black or stainless steel Maniks on a White MDX? Can't decide which would look better on this color MDX.

Or,should I consider the oem running boards?

Black or Stainless

Hi MARFONG,
Does your MDX have a roof rack or mud guards, if you do I suggest black side steps. Since the roof rack and mud guards are in black.

Have you tried Best Darn Parts!

Fireblade,
Have you tried Best Darn Parts. I've purchased my MANIK front bar and tail light guard in black powder with them. They also handle polished stainless steel items.
This is their web site:www.bestdarnparts.com

side steps

Hi Rafael Jr.

Thanks for your advice. Now, if I decide to go with the side steps, which one's: Manik's or Acura's? Advantage of Acura's: made of alumminun--won't rust, whereas the Manik's are steel based that have possibility of rusting. Disadvantage of Acura's: more costly ($206 vs $433) and less steping surface than Manik's (however, the Acura side steps are more subtle looking)

BTW, I noticed that you have running boards on your X. Any reason you selected running boards over the side steps?

I don't think stainless steel rusts, that's why it's called "stainless". If I'm not mistaken only iron rusts.

Re: Manik rusting

MDXtrous,

I'm referring to the black Maniks that may rust because they are made of steel with black coating. Yes, the stainless steel ones should not rust.
