For people living in the San Francisco Bay area. Did any one see a Black MDX lowered with all the gadgets that you can think about?
Last weekend I was driving on highway 680 (close to 780) when I noticed a weird looking vehicle in the rear mirror. When this vehicle passed me I was astonished to know that it was an MDX with black color and chrome wheels. The MDX was so low that I thought a small bump (i.e. in front of schools) would probably hit the bottom of the MDX. It had different type of flares, much bigger that the OEM ones. It also had the Tale gate, chrome front Bar, some rear lights bars (also chromed), chromed side steps and the list goes on and on.
Why on earth would some one lower an MDX and disguise the vehicle in this way?
I know people have different tastes, but a low rider MDX!

It's ironic really. I live in South San Jose and thought I saw it all.
Some of the old 60's models do look cool and have some incredible paint jobs, plus they had either maintained or restored a classic.
But when I see that kind of money poured into a Nissan Sentra I just scratch my head.
Now, when you see customizing like that done to a $35-45K vehicle you got to wonder why they bother. But I guess it covers the whole spectrum now. It does offer a brief distraction to the commute traffic. And being noticed has to be a big part of the whole phenomena.

The title of this thread frightened me. My stomach was allready to start heaving as I clicked on the link, but thank God - No pictures of the low rider! I get the feeling that somebody will post them eventually.

I felt the same way when I realized that the low rider vehicle was actually an MDX. I also live in South San Jose and I see all kind of stuff in there.
I just had a thought here. I am not sure if the owner of this vehicle is a member of this forum. But I don't mean to be bad critic.

Sometimes it really amazes me........

why people would buy a 4 wheel drive SUV and lower it. Defeats the purpose of getting an SUV. I have lowered all the cars that I have owned. I still have a vehicle that is lowered now but the MDX!!!!!!!!! What are people thinking. Lowering cars have multiple benefits but an SUV is a waste of money, if you do so. If I ever do lower the MDX it would be the most at maybe an inch, and I would only use the adjustable ones, so I can bring it back to the original height should I need to use it in the snow. Oh well to each his or her own I guess. By the way if this person is a member, I'm not trying to rip on you or anything, I'm just confused why you would do such a thing.

Beauty Is In the Eye .....

I wouldn't do this to our X, or any X for that matter; HOWEVER, the guy that lowered his X paid for that right. To each his own.
