Just got delivery of my 2002 Redrock Pearl MDX Touring (hence the nickname )!!! Paid MSRP and waited only 4 weeks (the general manager of the Acura dealer was a friend of a friend!)

Looking forward to some side steps, splash guards, body side moulding, etc. I really enjoy this web forum!

Thanks for the reply!

It is a new "Rock" and a new House!!!! I am loving life right now!!!....if only I can figure out the Second Row Seat Trick (you know, the one where you can fold down the seat AND slide it forward to get into the 3rd row :)) ...any help would be appreciated!)

I normally just bend down the seat and the seat moves forward easily. I don't folder down the seat completely since it requires lifting the seat back up to its up right position. Is that what you meant?

Yes....I use the regular lever to tilt forward and slide the seat, then raise it back to the upright position, then use the rear lever to fold it flat while it is still slid forward....kind of a couple extra movements to make, but ingress/egress to the third row is a little bit easier.;)

I hope you like your Redrock...just broke 100 miles on mine!

Hey blavid, great looking 'X you got there. BTW, are you in the Orlando area by chance? I saw where you said you're a skin doc in Fla, and judging by the pine trees in back of your house and the palms in front, looks like central Fla to me. Try to stop by the Caddyshack in St. Augustine for the MDX party on Feb. 16th, click on the link in my sig line below for details.

He's actually right!...3 BR/2Bath house, but the REAL issue at hand is a 7-seater RedRock MDX (no bathrooms included however).

It fits like a glove in my garage....actually a little too snug at times...I have to watch when I open the tailgate inside the garage -- it sometimes touches the garage door when the garage door is in the up position! Of course, I have been rearranging my garage to accomodate "the Rock".

I am simply amazed at the smoothness and power of the MDX...it keeps going and yearning for more...I am a little hesitant to see the true power as I am still "breaking her in". By the way, is there any reason to "breaking in the engine"? What has others' experiences been? Has anyone just floored the gas on their MDX as soon as they got delivery? Just wonderin'.

Yeah, people keep looking at my RedRock MDX. I think it is one of the first few Redrocks in the the Tampa Bay area! But I still park it way far in the corner of all the parking lots still!

Congrats on the new wheels. FYI there's an aftermarket accessory available if you're interested :)

Hmmm.....Does the vehicle have to be at a standstill to use the last accessory?....It would be nice to be able to use it on the fly as we are traveling down the highway, you know, to save time by not having to stop at the rest stops....;)

I put a piece of foam on the wall close to the mdx front so I can park the car as close to the wall as possible. That will leave some more room to the tail gate if I want to open it while inside the garage. My garage is big and deep enough so I don't really need to be that carefull but having the foam there helps easy parking.

Your "Rock" looks great!!!

I like that: The Rock !!!

Congratulations on you Redrock. I got my Redrock a little over a month ago. I got lucky. No waiting!!! Called the dealer and said that I wanted a red MDX and the salesperson said, "I just got one". I went to see it. Had Touring and Nav, which I wanted. Got it at MSRP. Cool, isn't it?
