My '01 MDX has had the "Thud Fix" 8 months ago, which is the hose-like rubber dampers put over the tops of the front springs. Everything was quiet, until now.

I think the Thud is back- Creaking noise in front suspension when I brake or accelerate and, of course, it's intermittent so I can't duplicate the noise to my dealer at will.

Anybody else have the thud fixed only to have it re-appear later?

TIA

Could also be that the lower control arm mounting bolts need to be retorqued. That's also in that same TSB. What was it 01-017? Or was it 01-013? Ahhh, it's something that starts with 01...

When I went to get my "thud" fixed, they tried the rubber dampening things but it didn't help. So, they ended up replacing the entire struts or whatever and the sound went away for good.
Maybe they need to do that for you.

But now I have the ever annoying brake thud coming from the pads, and I think Acura needs to get a bulletin going for that one instead of just saying.. All mdx's make that sound, there's nothing we can do to fix it.
