I did the K&N drop in filter and the resonator (mid pipe) delete and even my wife feels a big difference. The resonator delete was just something to do from a post I read from one of the MDXers. Temp hold over till I'm ready for a custom exhaust. Not much ready to order non OEM love for 1st gen X's.

so you took out the midpipe and replaced it with an aftermarket one?

No, I took out the mid pipe....!

That's it, added a straight pipe to connect up.

Go to YouTube and type "Acura MDX mid muffler delete/ resonator delete" There's a few videos on there with total custom exhaust jobs but there is a 03 and a 04 so you can hear the sound you'll roughly get from one pipe or dual...whatever ya got. Like I said, I'm happy and it's a noticable change for under a hundred bucks
