What types of cleaners can/should be used for the interior piano black trim, aka gloss black plastic?

I've done some research and I can't really find anything specific about using, or not using, products containing ammonia, alcohol, or other solvents. I assume using something like a PC screen cleaner with a microfiber lens cleaning cloth would be fine.

Anybody have any recommendations and or "never" use experience? I don't want to scratch or dull things up using the wrong type of cleaner(s).

Also, probably some type of wax of coating might be a good idea as well. Any recommendations for this?

I'm using a brand new high pile microfiber and no cleaner to touch up the dash and dust, no scratches to be seen.

I believe my detailer ceramic coated it.

If I was using a spray cleaner it would be a good quick detailer, adam's is what I have in the car right now.

Several months ago, I gave this product a try. I have been really quite pleased with the results. I used it on the whole dash area including the black piano trim and after a couple of months the whole area still looks terrific. Due to my carting around my dog, there is generally a lot of dust that collects on the dash and piano trim....somehow this stuff seems to keep the dust off. Its a bit pricey, but well worth the price in my opinion....

I watch a lot of detailing videos. One product I started using and love is Invisible Glass Interior detail spray. You can use it on everything and leaves a nice clean protected surface without the oily residue

Thanks all. I've never used Wolfgang brand anything but, the reviews are good. I absolutely swear by Invisible Glass glass cleaner. I have found nothing better. I'll have to give one of these a try. I'm pretty high on a brand called Zaino that I believe is only available directly from the company. I contacted them and a product they call Z-6 is suitable for the piano black as well. I have some Z-6 so, I'll give that a try first.

Thanks again. The advice is very much appreciated.

Zaino is an awesome product....I used it exclusively for many years, but when I bought my current MDX I didn't feel like spending the effort to go the initial Zaino route....thats when I tried Wolfgang products and I find them to be every bit as good as Zaino.

No problem. Yes you have to find that one product that works for you. Give Invisible Glass Interior Detail Spray a shot. I’m actually really impressed by it and for the price it can’t be beat. It really does a nice job. I also totally agree about the invisible glass cleaner. Nothing gets your windows cleaner

Is this what you are referring to?

All that piano black complaining I even when to extend to have it covered but that didn't helped with dust so removed it but even 2022 Bentley Bentayga S has Pino black by the shifter and controls and everyone one is saying what an amazing luxuries touch I guess when you pay $250,000 for a car it has to look great :)

My Cali duster showed up yesterday. I hit the dash and it works perfectly! I was looking for a place to stash it in the car but, not sure it will fit in the glove box with the other stuff in there.

Love it. Thanks for the recommendation @mastergunnera8 .
