How many miles were on the odometer when you picked up your new MDX? I saw a new one with 34 miles and wondered if it had been used for test drives. Thanks.

Mine had 1.2 miles. Just about right for them to drive it off the truck and into the service center for detailing. The least of any car I've had.

"our" MDX had 0.3 miles on it. They must had push it off the truck!

I remember reading either in the manual or in some other "official" literature that odometer should read "10" or less at delivery. Mine was "10" and trip computer said "10.0" as if they were carefully manually setting it.

i thought mine was strange, it had 28 miles on it, and supposedly it rolled off the truck that afternoon. i didn't know what the deal was, but since I got my car within 5 days of ordering it, i wasn't too picky.

but i was about to throw a fit....28 miles ?? where did they all go ?

Mine was sitting on the lot and had been test driven several times. I know I put about 10 miles on it during my test drive. Thus, mine had more than you guys on it.

Why do I have this picture in my mind about the parking lot attendents from "Ferris Buller's Day Off" when they screamed out of the parking garage in Cameron's father's Ferrari? LOL

Ours had 7 miles when we picked it up. Lowest miles of all new cars that I purchased in the last 15+ years.

mine had 13 miles on it. I asked the sales rep about it and he said he had to fill up the gas tank. I still thought it was kinda high since the gas station was right across the street.

Does anyone know if new cars usually have a full tank of gas already before it reaches the dealer?

'X MOM -- ours had 8 also; our '99 Accord had, as I recall, 0.3.

kpt_1 -- tanks are nearly empty when they reach the dealer; one of the things on an Acura delivery checklist is to have a full tank when the customer picks up the car.

Mine got 10 miles on the dot. I picked up the car supposedly on the same day that it arrived at the dealer. When I got there in the afternoon, they were still washing and preping it. Now how do you put 10 miles on a car that has just rolled off the truck? Anyhow, after waiting for 9.5 months, I was too excited to question it.

Maybe somebody at the dealership had a birthday and 7 went to lunch the day before you picked it up.

I had 12 miles. I picked it up 5 days after it arrived at the dealership. The Accord we picked up recently had 0.3 Miles.

Re: My Experience

Before I put my deposit(s) down on a 2002 granite green Touring w/Nav I test drove a granite green Odyssey EX w/Nav. It was evening comming home from work. This thing was MINT, just arrived with all the plastic sheets on everything inside and out, unprepped. There was less than 2 miles on it!

The sales guy even had to put the fuses in or else nothing turned on! No problem, we got thing up and running and took a l-o-n-g TEST Drive. I put it through its paces!!! When I get my MDX, I will want as few miles as possible. I wouldn't want somebody else having my fiance before we got married!
