Does the valve operate like FULLY OPEN and FULL CLOSE or partially open and partially close? I am trying to fix mines because I have intermittent “Check fuel cap”

What OBD2 error code you have stored?

No error code. Just annoying TIGHTENING FUEL CAP message when the engine is HOT.
Someone online pointed it out it could be a bad evap purge valve/solenoid.

FIXED without having to buy a new valve!
Removed the valve and spray a little bit of lithium grease to both end of the tube and then apply 12v to the valve to move the plunger back and forth a fews times so it get lubricated . Now the solenoid doesn’t get intermittently stuck anymore.
Make sure the resistance between the two pins on the valve is between 26-30 ohm. If you have 0 ohm it mean you have a blown valve and this will not fix it. You can tell if the valve is blown or not by applying 12 v.
This fixed cost me nothing except about 1 hour of my time fiddling around.
