How can I quickly shift from neutral to drive?

When I go through a car wash I have to place my 2017 MDX Advance into neutral.

When my auto gets rolled out of the car wash some times there is a following car
that is fairly close and I want to shift into drive QUICKLY.

Is it possible to shift into drive while the car is still rolling?
I don't want to have to come to a complete stop.

Any suggestions?

yes, when in neutral and slowly moving forward, you can shift right in D.
just keep off the gas when shifting.
Shift to R in error = $$$

It does not seem to work that way for me.

If I am slowly rolling and press the drive button, my auto stays in neutral. Sometimes the mid tells me to brake and shift to park.

If I am rolling fairly fast then I CAN make the transition by holding the drive button.

Actually, with the "shift-by-wire" ZF 9HP transmission, attempted shift to reverse while rolling forward causes sirens to blare and dash warnings to flash, but no action on ill-advised "request". It pops into neutral instead. But test this at your own peril.

All of this weirdness is because the push-button shifter is an unintuitive piece of crap. IMHO. >:)

You only need to barely drag the brake. It doesn't have to be fully applied, just needs to be pressed gently, as if scrubbing speed on the highway. I tested this last night around 10mph in a parking lot.
