Hands Free Link

Hello, new to the forum. I just recently bought a 2005 Acura MDX and I am having problems setting up my iPhone 12 to the Hands Free Link. It just keeps saying no phone detected, and nothing pops up in my phones Bluetooth. Can anyone help? Thank you!
