Anybody heard of Griot's Garage before? My boss gave me a catalog today, and he told those are the products he uses for his Porsche 911.

Their site is at:

http://www.griotsgarage.com

He highly recommended the Speed Shine product. Anybody use it before?

Yes, Griots carries some very good and innovative detailing and a ton of other car care products.

I switched to Zaino, however.

Griots Best of Show Wax is pretty difficult to remove and leaves a powdery residue. Speed Shine is basically a liquid wax spray bridge for use between wax jobs, and works pretty well, except you have to make sure you wipe it off quickly, and don't get it on glass.

Zaino's Z6 performs a similar function, but is much easier to use on everything from metal to rubber to vinyl to glass.

Bottom line, though....Griots offers very good products and a complete detailing line......I bought my orbital from them, cloths, worklights, claybar, etc.

But I prefer Zaino products for "waxing", leather and tire care.

I by a large portion of my detailing product from Griots. I do use Zaino to protect and wash my car and I have tried just about every other product over the years but I use Griots for just about everything else.

Some examples:

-wheel cleaner
-interior cleaner
-clay bar
-Speed shine (I use it to lube the clay bar but the Zaino Z6 will work as well)
-leather protector
-under carriage detailer
-oil and gease cleaner (this is the best at getting oil and grease out or off of anything including delecate laundry)
-window cleaner (this is the best ever)
-lint free window wipes

The list goes on and on.

Their products are great but not cheap. I like their lifetime satisfaction policy on eveything and they have always given me excellent customer service, including actually returning phone calls.I also use the Facom Palm Control Ratchets in my tool box.

I detail sevral of my friends and neigbhors cars as well and they are very happy with the results the Zaino offers on the outside and what Griots offers on the inside.

Later.

I also use Griot's Garage products for cleaning, waxing and polishing, cleaning windows, interior cleaning and vinyl and rubber protectanct, etc. A Great line of products as people have menitoned. I also buy my cloths, applicators, etc from them.

Their Rubbber cleaner is great on rubber floor mats, mud flaps, etc.

I especially like their customer service. They are quick to respond, very friendly and will do whatever they can to make you happy (just like Tim!).

yep, i'm another griots customer...love their products...alot of the products are unique, but some of the tools or accessories are widely distributed and can be purchased for cheaper (like the Rhino car ramps at Walmart for 30% less)

but otherwise, their waxes and stuff are pretty good, i place orders twice a year...
