Thanks all! We're taking the redesigned Silver Bullet out on its maiden voyage this morning (I could mix in a few other metaphors there but I won't...) - watch for reports of sightings on your local news...

We'll watch to see if these new steps increase WN or reduce gas milage. Since they look like afterburners, I'm expecting dramatic increases in acceleration - hmm, is there an aftermarked afterburner kit?

I needed a SS guinea pig before ordering a set of Maniks for my own. Looks great, I am doing the same.

But will you be able to find it in the snow now?

Although the side steps would look much better with Mahogany they do spruce up your wheels quite a bit. I assume your apprentice kept you from putting them on backwards the first time, unlike another prominent forum member. By the way nice try on the tootsie roll, it's the thought that really counts

Ghost, after looking at the pictures of the silver Maniks on your SS, then wiping the drool off of my sleeve, I am tempted to call my dealer and tell him no-go with the stock sidesteps. That silver sidesteps are a perfect complement. Out of simplicity I'll probably keep what I've got...grass will still rather green on this side of the fence (as will the manufacturer warranty if the dealer installs them). Beautiful pics!

Thanks jskibi - I was amazed at how much they changed the personality of the car! I'm still amazed... :

But you got to know, some folks here have been known to get their Acura OEM side steps powdercoated in silver- the best of both worlds! (Do a search for Rail in the Gallery, I think he was first to do it - its awesome. Worm's done it too with his Black on Black, very sweet).

Maybe you should look into it...

Manik on Red Rock, anybody?

Ghost have nice pic there....

Has anybody tried Manik on a Red Rock? How would the silver color look.

I am also trying to picture this with a painted silver Side Molding on a Red Rock body. Would it totally distroy the look or make it look really wild...
