Very nice!

I've got mine in SS, but I think you are the first with the painted deflectors and mud guards I've seen. I think it makes a huge difference!! By the way, how do you like the sun roof deflector?

re: sun roof deflector

MDXtrous,

i love it!! can't really tell you before or after sun roof deflector as far as noise level. i currently have another car without a sun roof deflector and it is noisy when open. so i think it would reduce noise if you got one. was also thinking about adding hood deflector but i think it would be too much along with the sun roof deflector. same with fender flares. i am thinking of color matching the front bottom lip of the X. friends have told me i should've done it altogether.

Looks Good

First GG I saw with painted flares and deflector. Huge improvement. If you want to go further you could paint the black plastic area the side view mirrors attach to as well. Love the rims

Re: GG Matched Body parts

The rear deflector looks excellent color matched. I can only imagine what matched fender flares would look like, also! Admittedly, the grey stock fender flares come closer on a GG than they do on the other colors but the contrast is still there. The matching makes me whistfull that they wern't included in perhaps a Touring "Ltd" model along with BSM. Of course you can make it that way if you wish but these things are factory on the Sequoia and other trucks and not dealer add-ons.

re: wheel offset

fireblade6,

thanks for your comments! i'm pretty sure it's 36mm and the size is 20x9. there was another wheel made by mkw called mk9 which is very similar to the helo skid. when i was at san diego car show, i saw a burb with them on and looked really nice. the tire store that i wanted to buy them from said the offset on those wheels would not work and he recommended the helos. btw, did you get my question re: your racing header - see my reply to the thread about rx300 you raced - classic!!! the guy i bought my wheels/tires from was very cool and beat any price i told him about. let me know if you're interested and i'll give you the info.

Hey..sorry about that..I completely forgot to respond. The headers and exhaust system is from Mugen Motorsports and I purchased them from Japan.

HOWEVER...You can get them from a distributor here in the United States call Kings Motorsports. They are the exclusive MUGEN parts disti for North American.
You can visit them at www.kingmotorsports.com

Yeah...give me some information on your wheels.

Thanks!

Are your step pads from Acura or Manik? Also, what does "gg" refer to?

Thanks,

Weight & Offset

GG01,
You mind sharing the weight and offset on those wheels you got there? What size are they anyway, 20x(?)? I guess this questions goes to all Dubbers, How heavy are your wheels (per wheel)? Do you notice anything different in (suspension) rebound?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure the offset is 36mm like I stated above. As far as weight goes, I have not personally tried to lift one of the wheels with the tires on it. Suspension is stiffer and more noticeable but handles great! I'm happy with the ride.

re: rim size

Mistake on the size of the rims. Actually crawled underneath my car and the rims said 20x8.5J, so I was wrong.
