I cannot believe in a vehicle of this price that the gas tank would make such noises. I do not know if it is a sloshing or a creaking noise, but it seems like it is coming from the gas tank area. It sounds like they didn't put any baffles in the tank. Does anyone else hear these noises coming from the rear?

The gas tank slosh is normal. Do a
, check the knowledge base (link @ bottom of every page) or check the TSBs at www.hondacuraworld.com .

I saw the TSB at Tim's site, but since I own a 2002, I thought that Acura would have made a change in the gas tank by now. I am amazed that they can call this a "characteristic". This gas tank makes more noise than my first car, a 1968 Fiat 850 sport.

All is quiet here

I also have a 2002 and hoped that it would be corrected. I had read the TSB and seen comments here, so when we picked it up I listened for gas tank noises very carefully. So far (7 weeks/2800 miles), I haven't heard anything. Maybe I don't know what to listen for. The only sound I've heard appears to be the license tag rattling against the hatch (and the frame I have it in). If I can hear that and the tools jiggling in my tool case, you'd think I would notice the gas tank noise. My fill ups are usually around 14-15 gallons, so it's pretty close to empty. Do you usually hear it empty, full, or in between? Usually on acceleration or braking?
