Today I went to batteriesplus to do a battery replacement. The clerk used a memory saver to save the settings, and then went ahead to do the swap. It was supposed to be a straightforward replacement. However, after the new battery was put on, I could not start the engine and there didn't seem to have any power in the car inside. No light, no display , no dash board light - all dead. The clerk checked all fuses and didn't find any problem. In the end a towing was called.
The towing truck guy did a magic. He placed the key fob to the start button and voila, the car was started. But if the engine was stopped, there was still no power inside, and the only way to start is still to place the key fob to the start button. I doubt the key fob is low battery: there is no reminding for low key fob battery and key fob low battrty will not shut down all internal power.
I leave my car to a Honda dealer to figure it out as there is no Acura dealer in my town. Has any MDX driver experienced something like this?

It probably zap one of the multi-block fuse panel. I know on newer cars there is procedure on how to replace battery. It's not as simple as swapping it out anymore.
