Well I finally have used my Zaino products that came in last week. Last weekend the weather was kinda' nasty. It's a little better today - though was still overcast.

I read all over this forum to use sparingly. On my granite green ( and this overcast day ), I had trouble knowing if any was going on - I really couldn't see a haze. Of course - I knew it was when I had "refreshed" the applicator. I just trusted...

I started with the clay bar and didn't find I had a great deal of residue. I've only had the suv since 1/5/02 though - so I guess that is understandable.

The Z16 bottle says it can be used on all mouldings, etc. ( the black framing trim etc.). I used it, but it looked streaked. Maybe it will dry better and blend. Does anyone use anything on the black around the windows, luggage racks etc. that doesn't streak?

Well - here's a picture too - though I don't think they're completely clear. I think it's my camera.

eeeeewwwww......no, don't use Z16 on the door panels, etc....yes, it tends to leave streaks unless applied verrrrrrry carefully. I just use it on my tires.

I use Z6 for everything BUT the tires.....including the glass. It buffs off easily, does not streak, and water sheets off just like the body sheet metal.

Try it!

Thanks..

That's a whole lot easier too!

I think I remember reading where you said that before now...but at the time I was into this, I read the bottle and it said "..."...

Thanks again..

How did it go?

After duly experimenting, I have concluded that RainX is twice as good as Z6 on my windshield, but Z6 is 4 times easier to apply. The math favors Zaino.;)

I wuz a big fan of RainX, but darn it, I have to be sooooo careful in applying it to avoid hazing and streaking, I settled on Z6 (Sal at Zaino convinced me to try it).

I cheat a bit and apply Aerospace 303 to the wiperblades....heh heh heh....that with Z6 makes my wiperblades seem if they will fly off the windshield.

No streaks, clear glass.....now I am a fanatic...I see some haze on the windshield and go nuts....outside or inside? Z6 outside and Stoner's Invisible Glass inside. Ahhhh....now I am happy.

Aerospace 303

Do you use the product actually called Windshield Wiper Treatment?

I went to their site and saw a few products listed..

Heh heh heh again....yes, I used the wiper treatment, but thought, hmmmmm, this is probably just 303 applied to some wipes.

Sooooooo, I use the spray bottle of 303 and disposable cloths to apply to the blades from the bottle and then buff.

Much cheaper. And just as effective.

Uh, I have some extra 303 wiper blade treatments......I'll give you a very attractive price.
