First Oil Change?

So my 02 MDX is reaching 3000 miles and I am not sure as I should change the oil at 3500 miles or 7500 miles? This is the first time I have to change oil on my X so please advice if you know the answer.

Being an old guy who was raised in the heart of the Pennsylvania oil fields, I always go for the lower figure -- the one that Acura suggests for Severe Service, which is 3750 miles. If that weren't in their recommendations, I would have gone for 3000 miles. Frequent oil and filter changes are CHEAP engine protection!
