seems within reason, did they give you a "rate lock"

I don't think there is as firm a set of regulations for consumer "time payment" loans as there are for home loans -- no Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae regs.

The a half a percent is probably a legitimate rate change. Actually I doubt if you could get as good a deal from any "non-subsidized lender" -- obviously GMAC is subsidizing sales of GM vehicle @ 0% and even Nissan is running "in house" finance @0.9%, but HondaMotorCredit doesn't see the need to go THAT FAR below market rates. Have you checked a credit union? I doubt that they are lower, and would represent "market rates".

Hey mulsmdx, I know when I started looking at the MDX, it was in Feb. & the "residual" was at 56% from Honda Motor Co. Buy the time we made a deal on a vehicle coming into the dealer, set up the paper work, etc., the residual on a lease changed to 54%. The rate factor didn't change, but I'm sure that at any given time, the "rules" can change. Sorry, just enjoy the MDX. It's probably well worth it, I know ours is:D
