Here's a question that someone can possibly answer. On my 2001 MDX it has the factory radio (Not the 6 CD unit) and it does well save for the AM band on it. FM comes in clear of course as Frequency Modulation should. AM though at night or even in the daytime has a lot of static, noise, and such unless it is a close station (I like listening to WCBS 880 New York or WTAM 1100 Cleveland at night on the way home.) I live in Dayton, OH area and at times even getting WLW (50,000 Watt Class 1A station) in the daytime has things going on with it. Moreso if I plug in my USB charger for my phone into one of the power ports. Wondering if this is something with the radio itself, the antenna, or what. Also, is there a way to use the present antenna cable and mount with a new, and possibly better antenna? I know it screws in to the mount on the roof. Curiosity hath KO'ed the feline.
