When I buy my warranty...I will shop the best policy/lowest rate, max out the years 7/100K or whatever it is, AND pay zero deductible. For my money...the extra $200 is worth the convenience of taking it in KNOWING there's no deductible. Otherwise...you've always got that second stage of...**damn, it's gonna cost me $50 to get this checked out...maybe I'll wait for TWO things to go wrong** That kind of thing. Plus...Better resale and buyer confidence. Opting for the $50 deductible means you don't think you'll be visiting the dealer more than four times in 100,000 or 7 years. If you have a problem or series of problems...it could be 4 times in 6 months!
I expect this Acura to run like my old Toyota...but if it doesn't...I'm covered.
Now, on our
Health insurance...we MAXED the deductibles because we run like Toyotas!
OFF TOPIC...
speaking of....INSURANCE. **Health ins consumer
tip for those who need that third row for kidlets. Depending on your coverage options (employee or biz owner)...check into starting the kids on their OWN Individual policy if poss. Why? Most likely
healthier now...lowest premium...usually only costs a few dollars more p/m and when they turn 18, or otherwise considered adults, they avoid the underwriting and will likely maintain that same rate as long as you maintain the same carrier. Otherwise..later developing cronic illness like asthma, sports injuries and other unknowns can drive premiums sky high...and when they leave the family plan,
your stuck paying higher premiums along with college exp. It's just a way around the $ystem by avoiding underwriting and happened to save us big $$$. It's also proof that insurance companies KNOW what they're doing!

Sorry for the O/T post.
