Hi all!
Did any of you purchase an extended warranty for your MDX from Hondacuraworld or from AcuraWarranty.com? (without actually buying a car from the corresponding Acura dealerships behind them)
If you did buy the warranty, is it a "real" AcuraCare (or whatever the name is) contract? Did any of your dealers agreed to match those prices? The prices I get from them are at least 25% better than what my dealer wants.

If you bought a warranty from your dealer, what was your price? The above 2 places quote app. $1100/$1600 for 0- deductible 7year-75K/7year-100K.

Did you pay sales tax on the warranty purchase (especially from either of those 2 places?)
Thanks.

Thanks for reviving my thread! :)

I am 99 % certain I will purchase the extended warranty as soon as I manage to take control of mortgage/car loan payments. ;-)

I had a warranty for my Subaru (never had to find out how it works!!!) Got 50 % back when I sold that car and the warranty with it. (2years or 40K miles remaining) Peace of mind is really important.

My original questions still stand:

Since my dealer wants almost 2x more than http://www.acurawarranty.com and what [email protected] quoted me, did any of you purchase AcuraCare warranty from them (or plans to do so in the near future?)
With all the good publicity Tim gets, he is certainly my choice #1. The only "problem" - he is also in NY state and I may have to pay sales tax on the purchase. Do you know if it is taxable?

As far as the first 4 years b-to-b warranty - well, they are about to replace front struts and rear wiper motor on my 2 months old MDX in 2 days. Who knows what will happen in 4+ years!!!

IMPORTANT: http://www.acurawarranty.com has a pretty good description of the AcuraCare service contract. Only REALLY MAJOR components are covered!!! Read it carefully before you invest! ;-)
