Discussion Starter #1
Yesterday, after changing my driver side low beam igniter and ballast, everything was fine. Both low beam were working, all lights were working, car started well.

I drove it for about 15 mins, parked for 1 hour and i couldn't start the engine. I tried jump starting it, but didn't work.

I pulled out both fuses for low beam headlight, still wouldn't start. But, the headlights stopped flickering as I turned my key.

Symtoms:
- clicking noise when i tried starting the engine
- both low beam headlights flashings/flickering when I started the engine, even though I turned the headlight switch to off position.
- all instrument lights and headlights turned on just fine. Bright and strong.

Any guess what went wrong?

Faulty battery, battery cable connections or cables, starter solenoid fault.

First confirm you are consistently getting start signal to the small wire to the starter solenoid. From your description, you are getting a start signal.

If start signal to solenoid, check battery charge and clean/repair connections and cables as indicated.

If good, you likely have faulty starter solenoid contacts. Repair is a new starter.

good luck
