Hi guys,
I got my 2016 MDX 4 year ago. Last week my driver seat started making some noisy noise when I adjusted it all the way up. It really make me uncomfortable.
I just had a regular oil change for 27k miles before this thing happened. Then
I went to Acura dealer and the service adviser told me that first you need to pay 160$ for the diagnostic. And I don't know what I need to pay more for fixing this issue. I brought my car back and still feel disappointed with the Acura service.
Anyone of you have same issue with driver seat?
Should I go to the other Acura dealer and ask them to fix this ?
Any advice for fixing this ???
Thank you in advance

Dear Neoshi,
I think the noisy noise only occurs when I made height adjustment to max level. It started ab clicking type noise like you said.
Do you know how to fix this issue?
Thanks again for your reply

You have to replace the motor. The plastic gears are stripped. It needs some specific tools so bring it to an independent Honda shop and see if they can follow the instructions. It's only an hour of labor so should be too bad. If they can't do it, go to a dealer, but be prepared to be charged more than an hour.

Hi guys,
After contact with Chevy Chase Acura colleagues,
They have some good news for me. They are agreed that I could bring my car in and fix the driver sear's error for free under Acura goodwill.
It is so nice of them for doing this.
I will bring my car to the dealer today.
