What tires calls for 44PSI? That is the maximum tire pressure on the Stock Michelin Touring HPs!!!!!
Your PSI should be between 32-37PSI... 44-45 is asking for a tire blow out.

I see I have post 91 above in September 2008, two MDXs ago!

My post above related to my 2005 Touring & Ent. On my last two MDXs I have tracked mpg on the Fuelly app. My 2011 Advance got a combined 17.7 mpg, while my 2017 Advance gets a combined 22 mpg (best tank has been 27) over 18,000 miles.

Pretty similar theme with my 20 MDX as well. 20-21MPG for most combined driving on California hills.

My 19 MDX hybrid with 21,500 miles has an 24.2 lifetime average. An improvement over my 11 MDX Adv w/ +146,000 miles 19 mpg lifetime avg (live/drive 5000-6500 feet with hwy speeds of 75-85 mph). At or below freezing fall/winter days along with extremely windy for all of Spring eats into my mpg average for the hybrid.

To update again, I turned in my 17 Advance in March 2020 and combined mpg held steady at 22 over 25,000 mi. So far on my 20 Advance combined mpg is 22.3 over 10,000 miles. Not putting as many miles on my last two MDXs as it splits time with the 15 S550.

My 20 just got about 25MPG on the trip back from Sedona to Palm Desert. I was impressed. 22+ on the way out. Currently in mixed city/hwy, 21-22 MPG. Best I've ever had with a 5K lb SUV, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

Change brands of gas. I get the best on shell, keep tire pressure at 35 or 36. I run all synthetic oils, engine, Trans, transfer case and diff. Eneos makes a synthetic Honda pump fluid. Clean your MAF sensor. Located on the air filter tube on airbox. Just make sure you clean it with maf sensor cleaner found at your local auto parts store. I clean mine every oil change. I drive in sport mode 100% of the time. Avg between 18-20 city. Hwy 24-25 bc I cruise between 80-90. I'm sure it would be higher if I drove the speed limit.

We bought our 2009 MDX used three years ago. Our average over the 41,000 miles we've had it is 19.8 mpg. It was over 20 but it has seen more local roads and fewer highway miles this year. This year it's been 8,100 miles at 18.9 mpg.

I have run the trip computer on my X the past couple fill ups and it consistently says i am getting about 13-15mpg. i don't get this because i was under the impression that it would be more like 17-22. do any of you out there get better gas mileage and if so. Can you telll how to improve?

thanks
I have a 2016 MDX. I'm pretty much always at 18mpg... But then again, I drive this b***h like a demon in a holy water storm.
