I just finished this too. Took about 15mins. As always thanks to the community for making self-diagnosis and repair possible.
2008 Acura MDX base. My symptoms were similar to the others mentioned here (driver side front and rear window switches not working, turn signals not working, door locks not working, door lock switch not working include fob). The symptoms would come and go. I had some additional symptoms not described in this thread, in that the door locks would occasionally flicker opened and closed, the headlights flickered on and off a few times, the digital outside temperature reading displayed "---" dashes, and flickering of power to the stereo or other dash board electronics a few times. The vehicle otherwise drove fine during this time from a drivetrain perspective. In my case the thicker white wire within the driver side door sub harness cluster was broken.

Ordered the harness a year ago! Thought it would be harder to put on...
Do this now if you have problems as the OP mentioned. Hardest part was fishing the new bundle of wires into the front of the fuse box. A little creativity and you're there. Thank you Skirmich!

I bought the cable a year ago as well. Still haven't had the motivation to install it. Hopefully I will be able to summon some energy to get it done before winter.

Congrats on the good work! This was only possible thanks to -Jon- finding out the answer.

More kudos to everyone - straightforward as indicated. The new harness includes EVERYTHING including the plastic white oval body pass through into the car- so don't be shy removing existing piece. In retrospect- you should pop out the white oval before pulling cable out - bigger hole! Both new rubber ends as snug as original rubber against the door and body

Thanks to @skirmich & @-jon-
For some time my Pass Side mirror stopped rotating down in reverse, never thought anything of it.
Then the other day my hatch stopped opening (well can't live with that),
Found @AcuraAddicted Bogdan's video on YouTube Thought great only a $20 fix, well the part is $75 CAD at my local Acura Dealer.
Tested my my hatch, mirror and window so far so good, all is working.
Hope this will fix my Passenger side front window as once it went down past half way, it would not want to close. Just keep going up and down at the half way mark. (Rest procedure never worked)
@nathan2007 Thanks for the tip on pulling a string with the old harness, worked like a charm and I was done in about 15minutes.

Congrats on fixing it! Mine is still going solid probably since I left the retaining tab loose so to give it more slack..

I had some symptoms a while back. So I bought the harness. However, before I get to do it, everything went back to normal again. So I am still rocking the 15 year old harness now. Who knows how long it will last.

I just had a 2008 in the shop, replaced the harness in ten minutes. Remove the fuse box panel and the end panel on the dash board. reassembly is eased if you tape the two green connectors together when threading them through the A pillar hole.

MDXers saves the day yet again. We have well over 200k on our 2007 and in the last 6 months have started to notice many of the described odd things happening.

Door locks and fuel lid will only work when door is closed and car is running.
Sunroof no longer working
Some of the window buttons working intermittently.

I was nervous to look it up as I feared the worse. But wow.....$67 for the cable from Amazon. Can't ask for easier fix.

I pulled the boot back a ways on the door side and noticed many wires completely broken and some very near.

Thank you skirmich. Yet another one resolved due to your post. It was the cable.
Door lock/unlock switches stopped working.
Gas door button stopped working.
Trunk switch stopped working.
Alarm would not set and lights would not flash.
Everything back to normal after the cable change.

Thank you!!
Worked for me as well on my 2009 MDX. And the tip about attaching string/wire to the old harness before you pull it so that you can use that to pull the new harness was a big help.

Why accurate hasn't done a recall on any of this I don't understand it's a small issue can be easily fixed and remedied for as much as we pay for this Acura MDX you would think they would just do it. But I guess we wouldn't have mdxers.org with all the helpful ways to fix our mdx's I love my MDX I left a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe sport and that thing was garbage garbage. But then again the Santa Fe is not a high-end luxury SUV like the Acura MDX is sure they try to be but they really are not
