Depends on the repair. An independent with good Honda/Acura experience can save you money in most cases. Some specialty shops stock genuine parts, which are always preferable.

I owned a shop for 20 years and we only used genuine parts.

+1. For intermediate-or-easier repairs, DIY. If it's tricky, involves tools I don't have easy access to, or is just something I'm not comfortable doing in my driveway, I've got an independent mechanic that I've built up a good relationship with over the past 10 years. The only time I've dealt with a dealer is for recall issues and once to pull a Honda-specific error code ($100 to find out I just needed to replace a shift sensor :p).
