Anyone have experience with a product called DingGuard?
It is a magnetic strip that you can apply to your vehicle whenever you want protection from door dings, shopping carts, or whatever.

Ding Guard

My brother had one for his '92 911. Only problem with was that it was stolen off the side of his car. It is magnetic and the model he had did not have any means to fully secure it. Good luck and let us know if you get one!

I bought a couple guards from this place:

They look ugly, but they also appear to be more substantial and should protect better. I tossed mine in the compartment behind the 3rd seat - haven't used them yet.
