Hi all. Just trying to pin down the exact trim package on my '05. What makes it a "touring" package, exactly? Apparently, some have CD changers, some don't? I know some had Nav v. Trip Computer (which I have). Did all have the Bose sound system with the little tweeters in the front door window frames? Any other major trim differences from this era?

Thanks.

I find Edmunds to be a good resource for this info. The MDX was available as a Base, Touring, Touring with Nav, Touring with RES, or Touring with Nav & RES. Use the drop downs to select the different possible models then scroll down for a model/feature comparison grid. If I am not mistaken the CD changer was a dealer installed option. According to Edmunds all the Touring models got the Bose stereo.

You can try Acura owners, factory site and see if you can sign up. We bought ours new so came with it signed up. (Site is useful for navi and radio code retrieval, recalls, etc.

Your Acura dealer parts dept should be able to tell you by the VIN.

Try cargurus. They give trim levels and top level description of features.

I previously owned two 1st gen Touring models, an '03 and then an '06.

The 2005 Touring Package added the following to the Base:
6-Disc in-dash-CD-changer
Power passenger seat, 8-way
Tilt-down-passenger mirror in reverse
Bose radio
Memory driver seat/mirrors
Roof rack
Rain-sensing-wipers
XM/Sirius Radio
Bluetooth phone
On-Star (I don't think this works anymore)
Different 17" wheels
Michelin tires (upgrades from Base Good Years)

RES and NAV required the Touring Packing '03 on forward. Nav was available stand alone on Base models '01-'02.
