Anyone notice a strange crunching noise when applying the brakes while the car is moving in reverse?

Also, has anyone else lost the rubber plugs under the center-arm rest cover? One popped off during the delivery inspection and the dealer force fit it back on only for it to pop off again.

Thanks for any and all responses.

I have a thump/thud noise, when applying the brakes, while
the MDX is moving backwards. I am assuming this is the gas
tank noise discussed on this forum. It does not sound like a noise
I would expect from a gas tank, but something is causing some
type of noise.

I guess I have the same noise and it doesn't sound like from
the tank. Plan to ask about it on first oil change, though.

Hey- I discover what that "crunching" noise is. When water or ice gets on the roters of the brake systems and in when it dries up, backing up in reverse causes this crunching noise. All this is is the brake pads rubbing off the brake dust that was mixed with the water that dried on the rotors.

I usually experience this after washing the car.

Hey Acura3

Just curious what was the check engine light issue you just had fixed? Just want to keep up to date with issues in case I have some trouble. What was the actual thing the dealer fixed or replaced?
