The new 2022 model crossbars look much better than the Gen3 crossbars. Wondering if I can install the new ones in my 2019 A-Spec ?
Alternatives are Yakima and Thule which are ridiculously expensive.
Please confirm if someone had done this before?

I don't have a 2022 but the 4th gen is completely different dimensionally than the 3rd gen and the factory cross bars on the 3rd gen are very fixed in where they'll mount - in only one position. I wouldn't expect the 4th gen crossbars to work on the 3rd gen and vice versa but I'd be interested to see if an owner of both gens can confirm it. If you're really motivated you can probably just stop by an Acura dealership and measure the crossbars on a 4th gen as well as see how they mount,

The 2022 crossbars look adjustable, kind of like the Thule Evo's, although I can't be sure just by looking at photos. The 2022 has fixed position crossbars like the 2014-2020, but not sure if the bolt pattern and distance between rails is the same or if the bars are actually adjustable. Probably best to check with a dealer; equivalent Thule's are like twice the cost.
