Long story short, my windshield cracked due to debris on highway. By the sound it didn't seem like a big one but it did damage my windshield. I am surprise how easily the MDX got it damaged.

I went for windshield repair but of course it is still visible. I am expecting more damage and will replace it till then

my 2016's been holding up for 2 winters with a few small chip repairs. In other words, it holds up better than many other OEM glass in my experience. I always get chips repaired immediately, though. So I'm not sure how it would measures in resisting crack growth. General rules for when you have chips/cracks on your windshield: Never let it experience dramatically temperature change, don't blow your A/C or heat on the windshield, don't let it get wet and freeze.

Your crack being so long and close to the edge is not repairable. Most repair shops will refuse or waive warranty on such repair. MDX windshield is expensive but I would recommend going with OEM. I have heard about some camera/radar calibration issues with after-market parts as well as the sound deadening feature. I always buy windshield insurance for this purpose.
