Hi all. I've been shopping around for wheels and I realized that we don't really have a good single source of all the info on different options we could take with our 3G MDXes, so I'd like to make a compilation thread that shows everyone here what different wheels and tires will look like. The goal is to give all the basic specs and pictures for anyone to replicate the look if they should so choose.

For basics, we know that our stockers are:

18" stock setup:
Diameter: 18"
Width: 8"
Offset: +55
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Hub: 64.1 mm
Tire Width: 245
Tire Sidewall: 60
Tire Load Rating: 105H (2039 lbs)

Picture:

19" stock TECH setup:
Diameter: 19"
Width: 8"
Offset: +55
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Hub: 64.1 mm
Tire Width: 245
Tire Sidewall: 55
Tire Load Rating: 103H (1929 lbs)

Picture:

19" stock ADV wheels:
Diameter: 19"
Width: 8"
Offset: +55
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Hub: 64.1 mm
Tire Width: 245
Tire Sidewall: 55
Tire Load Rating: 103H (1929 lbs)

Picture:

Note: 19" OEM wheel recommended tire pressures are 35 psi in all corners.

For all posts, I'd like you all to complete the same information. At a bare minimum, wheel diameter, wheel width, wheel offset, tire width, and tire sidewall will help the most. And of course, :needpics:

I was thinking about getting the same setup as yours 22"x9 using 265/40/22 tires. Are you getting any rubbing when going over bumps and making sharp turns?

Tpraka300 isn't really on our forums and seems to be just on Acurazine at the moment. You may want to try asking him there. In his original post though, he reported no issues whatsoever. The offset of +38 seems to keep the wheels tucked inside the fender, so I suspect there is no rubbing.

OK someone help me out here. I see offsets for 8" wheels at 55, but other sites say 8.5" wheels and 40mm offset. Which is right? Or is both acceptable?

Our stock offset is +55, but if you want your wheels to be more flush with the fender edge, you usually run lower positive offset. In conjunction, you should raise the width of your wheels though (I should mention that this isn't always how wheels are because some manufacturers do things like lower positive offset while building more material on the back end, making a flat face wheel, but it is something you usually can expect to occur with most common wheel designs. The most common result is some concavity.).

Oh, but both are acceptable. Here's the scenario you were speaking of: http://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=245-55-19X8ET55&wheel2=245-55-19X8.5ET40&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm

And here's an explanation for offset: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoWheelOffsets.do

22 inch rims on 2016 MDX

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. Just got 22 inch rims for my 2016 MDX SH-AWD. I got Adventus avx-10 wheels. They stick out slightly but it gives it a more rugged look. I think it looks good. What do you guys think? The tires are Delinte /*Desert Storm D8 Size 265/35ZR22

Do you happen to have offset and rim width?

Anyone go for Vossen 19s? Those 22's are too much for my taste.

My search brings up no results so i think nobody has tried it. Vossen is probably too expensive of a product to keep the same size as stock lol

19s look to small for this gem MDX IMO. 22's look a tad big. I'd say 20's have a good look and compromise with ride.

I'd like to see someone run a 20x9.5 or 10 with a 35mm offset and dropped with one finger gap. That's what I will go for, but I still need to take some measurement for figment and decide on a wheel. CVTs look nice tho.
