Hello all so I have a question about the New MDX collision mitigation braking system and lane keep assist system.

Basically if enabled, in the pre-collision situation, the system could automatically apply the brakes, or in the event when you sway over to another lane, lane keep assist will apply torque on the steering wheel to keep the vehicle back to e center lane.

What if those situations, the driver wants to change Kane to avoid the accident, with auto braking and steering in place, won't this interfere with what the driver wanted to do?

LKAS is not applying torque when you depart the lane, but it keeps giving torque to maintain the vehicle in the middle of the lance. LKAS is always providing a subtle rotation to the steering wheel as long as the lanes are recognized. It's very fun and great feature.

However, note that this *assist* movement of LKAS is weak and subtle so that you can always override by giving strong torque. Also note that LKAS can only work on a moderately curved road. It can't keep the lane if the lane is highly winding. In this case, you are the responsibility. Keep in mind, LKAS is only for assist, not whatever autonomous driving.

So, don't need to worry about your concern. If you want to steer by yourself, LKAS will be overridden.
