Clock (time) without turning on?

Is there a way to display the time without putting the key in the ignition and turning it on?

All other cars I own or have owned either have the time displayed all the time or you can push a button to display the time for about 15 seconds.

Not in NAV

I can't speak to the non-NAV screen but with the NAV the clock is an intergal part of the Nav system so you have to boot it up to see the time. The good news is that (I believe) the clock gets it's time from the GPS system - either that or it is very very accurate on it's own because after 13 months, the clock is EXACTLY in agreement with the atomic clocks online.
