I have a 2010 MDX and had OEM front brake pads put on a few months ago. When I reverse and push on the brakes I get a loud clicking noise. It doesn't happen all the time and is almost always only when in reverse. My independent mechanic, who is pretty knowledgeable, says that the pads are shifting during braking, and that is what is making the noise. He's not sure why this is happening, since he says the OEM brake pads are the best ones. He added some kind of red material (not sure what it is) to help prevent the shifting but no luck. The only other option he says is to try a new non OEM brake pad. I'm not too keen to do this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
