Hello!

I recently purchased a used 2015 Acura MDX w/ Technology Package and absolutely love the vehicle.

There is one small quirk that I cannot solve and I'm hoping that its something easy, I thought I would ask the experts here to see if they've ever encountered the same issue.

I did searched and read through many of the posts, some mentioned memory issues with the seat behavior, but didn't really touch on the specific issue I'm running into.

Problem/Issue:

For some reason I cannot "set" the driver seat the position that I would like to use. I followed the steps in the manual and watched a few videos. It does seem straight forward on how to set the seat memory for either driver #1 and #2.

However after I set the seats to my settings I press the "set" button, which I'm supposed to hear a "beep" then I'm press the number corresponding the key fob that I'm holding. The issue is, that I'm not hearing the "beep" after pressing the "set" button.

I do have the vehicle running and set to Park before trying to "set" memory for my seat position(s).

The odd thing is that if I press button #1 or #2 the seats and steering wheel do adjust to what I'm assuming are the location the previous owner had set.

Hoping someone can shed some light on what the issue may be that I'm encountering.

Thanks!

Hmm yeah that doesn't sound normal to me. I have a 2016, but it should be the same, where when in park, you can hit set, hear one beep, then the number (you can even set the other number even if you have just one of the remotes), and then get two beeps to confirm the new memory setting.

I also have an issue with seat settings. I have a 2004 MDX. I save my seat position to 1 and it was fine for months. I recently let my newly licensed daughter set hers to two but since then, every time I unlock the doors with my fob then open the drivers door, the seat automatically goes to seat 2 position. How do make position one the default??
Sorry if I’ve jumped in this chat on top of another question first time on one.

I cannot speak for the 2004 model, but on the 2014+ MDX (this sub-forum), the memory seats are linked to the key fobs for the vehicle. They keys are labeled Driver 1 and Driver 2. When the Unlock button is pressed on the Driver 1 key fob, the seat will automatically move to Memory Position 1, and the same will happen for Driver 2 key fob with Memory Position 2. It's really convenient if you share the vehicle with a significant other. I imagine before your daughter made changes, the seat was set for the same position for Memory Position 1 and 2, and you've been using the Driver 2 key fob.

@Kenwig On the bottom right corner of the back of the fob, there is a chair on it. It says 1 or 2. Looks like you are using #2 fob, not #1. What I suggest you to do is give the #2 fob and key to your daughter and you use the #1 fob. If you have not received the #1 fob, a used one on eBay runs for like $30-$50.

Or Press Lock and Unlock buttons at the same time to unlink the Driver 2 settings form the fob and with driver 1 selected, press the lock and unlock buttons at the same time and it will link the fob to driver 1.
