Dear MDX-ers, I want to share my recent experience with 2007 MDX. A year ago my MDX's average MPG started getting worse i.e. from 21-22 MPG to 17-18 MPG (70% highway, 30% city driving). Everything seemed OK with engine, tires, no leaks, same gasoline, ... Until few weeks ago when I got two error codes: P0134 and P2243. Both codes pointed to bad O2 (A/F) sensor (bank 1, sensor 1 in my case). After replacing that sensor, my MPG got back where it was.:)
So, for whole year my engine was running rich because of that bad sensor, which was not bad enough to trigger error codes and check engine light (there are certain thresholds that has to be met to do so).
If you notice similar symptoms, there might be a good idea to check those senors (A/F bank 1 and 2, sensor 1), it might be bad without triggering error message.

Awesome! My personal experience with bad mileage was fixed with an air filter replacement. It got skipped over somehow and was pretty dirty.
