I was pulling into the Sam's Club for gas yesterday & noticed a very nice GG MDX at the pump. I pulled up opposite the GG MDX to buy gas & said "hey - nice MDX!" As we spoke I advised the fellow MDXer that there was a very good website for MDX owners, to which he replied "yes I know, acuramdx.org".

So I said - what's your nick and he said "Acurate". I was shocked because we had posted a note to plan to meet one day - only I didn't realize we would "accidentaly" meet.

So we admired each other's MDXes and then said goodbye, but promised to get together when we could chat & not tie up the gas pumps!

If anyone wants to see a VERY NICE GG MDX with about every option you can imagine - check out Acurate's MDX. He was impressed with my Zaino shine (although I had just driven in the rain the night before - so it wasn't up to it's best "mirror" look) and was thinking of Zaino for his.

Acurate - I look forward to meeting again- maybe next time with Octavian and a few other Texas MDXers!!

how about we do a tx. scrub(similar to GG's in Florida). we could do the tx. hill country region, or do a trail in east tx. I will see if i can find some info.

Hey guys. I guess I should get in the game here as my new friend has finally arrived ( 02 SS/NAV ). Supposed to pick up from David McDavid tomorrow afternoon. Anyway, I live in Frisco ( Coit/ 121 area ). Also go to Tyler quite a bit.

Is it just my imagination, or does it seem like there a LOT more X's around the DFW area?

If there are, they sure don't pop up on this site. It would be great to meet more Texans!

Nice SS!!

dbptx1 - very nice SS - all the accessories look great :D

I'm sure we will see each other driving around Plano/Frisco because I live about 1.5 mi Se of 121/Preston. Acurate also lives in the Frisco area.

Tyler sounds like a fun run - maybe a group of us can do that

Octavian - I agree that there are quite a few MDXes around DFW - but very few DFW members on this website.

sweet rims!! let me know if you guys want to do tyler. its only 100 miles east of dallas on I-20. we could do tyler state park(camping, canoeing, hiking, biking) or we could try to do some offroading. or we could always hit the many nice lakes around tyler.

btw, i agree there sure is a lack of Tx. representation on the site.

Waal, I could be hornswaggled into doing Tyler. It's so close, maybe we can do a one-dayer, kinda like sending in special forces, before we do a full frontal assault.

Hey, I can even use my Nav system to make sure I don't wind up in Abilene, or as they say, Admarilla.

The offroading idea sounds cool....don't know if I want to get as down and dirty as GatorGreg did in Florida, tho:D Or biking.....I do a fair amount of that, too.

Hey all,

I would like to know who is interested in taking their MDX off-road?? I know of a few places near Houston and Austin where we can off-road. Here is the list of vehicles from my family that may go with me:

'04 MB G500 (mine)
'01 Lexus LX470 (brother)
'01 Land Rover Discovery SII (brother)
'03 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (brother)
'04 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (friend)

BTW, i do NOT plan on trashing my car. Thus, it will be light off-roading that we can all enjoy. Bring your family if you want.

I just need to know who to call when i find a good place to off-road.

Thanks.

BTW, i am trying to get as many people with luxury SUVs to go with me.

We (my brother, myself, and etc.) are planning to do some light off-roading this Saturday afternoon (2/12/05) in Austin.

If you're interested, then please PM me.

Thanks.
